History

Bajiquan, "eight extremes fist", comes from Hebei province, especially Cangzhou, known as the home of Chinese martial arts. It is famous for short-range, explosive power: elbow strikes, shoulder strikes and stamping steps.

Li Shuwen, called "the God of Spear", made it famous at the start of the 20th century. Bajiquan masters served as bodyguards to important Chinese figures.
