History

Jukendo is the Japanese art of the bayonet, developed from military training and Japanese spear arts. After the Second World War it was reorganised as a sport, and the All Japan Jukendo Federation was founded in 1956.

Fighters wear armour similar to kendo and use a wooden replica rifle (mokuju) to thrust at valid targets.
