History
Sikaran is a Filipino kicking art from the town of Baras, in Rizal province, where farmers held kicking contests after the harvest. In the traditional game the hands are used only to block.
Meliton Geronimo organised and spread sikaran in the 20th century, and it is considered one of the oldest Filipino martial arts.
