Who we are
This website (wabukan.com) is operated by Industrial Silva (Gonçalo Augusto Costa da Silva), Prins Willem-Alexandersingel 87, 1782 GN Den Helder, the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce/KvK: 90318285). We are the data controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Contact: hello@wabukan.com.
Our approach
Wabukan has no newsletter and no tracking analytics. We collect as little data as possible. If you become a Wabukan Member, see “Members and payments” below.
Data processed when you visit
Our host, Cloudflare, Inc. (Cloudflare Pages), processes technical data needed to deliver the pages (IP address, browser type, date and time, page requested) in server logs for security and stability. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are kept for a short period by the host and then deleted.
Fonts and images are served from our own website, not from third-party servers.
Data stored on your device
We store two small preferences in your browser’s local storage: your chosen language and your cookie choices. They never leave your device and are strictly necessary for the site to work as you asked. See our Cookie Policy.
Videos (YouTube)
Videos are shown with the official YouTube player in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and only after you allow "external media". When a video loads, Google Ireland Limited may process your IP address and set cookies or similar technologies. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time in Cookie settings. Google privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Automatic translation (Google Translate)
If you choose "More languages", the Google Translate service is loaded and the page text is sent to Google for translation; Google may set a cookie (googtrans). This happens only when you choose it and after you allow external media.
Amazon affiliate links
Our shop contains affiliate links to Amazon.com. We do not receive your personal data. When you click a link, you go to Amazon, which may set cookies to record that you came from Wabukan. Amazon’s privacy notice applies on its website.
Accounts (Supabase)
If you create an account, we store your email address and the items you save as favourites. Accounts run on Supabase (Supabase Inc.), our processor, with data stored in the European Union. You sign in with a link sent by email from hello@wabukan.com; we never ask for a password. Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). You can delete your account and all your favourites at any time on the My account page.
Members and payments (Stripe)
If you subscribe to Wabukan Member, payment is processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. (Ireland), which acts as an independent controller for the payment. We receive your name, email, country, plan and payment status — never your full card details. Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legal duty to keep tax records (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, 7 years under Dutch law). Stripe privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
Advertising
We do not show advertising yet. If we add it in the future (for example Google AdSense), personalised ads will only be shown with your consent, and this policy will be updated first.
International transfers
Google and Amazon may process data in the United States. These companies participate in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or use the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to hello@wabukan.com. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority; in the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
Children
Wabukan is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
