Pradal serey, "free fighting", is Cambodian kickboxing, also called Kun Khmer. Like Muay Thai, it uses punches, kicks, knees and elbows, with a strong emphasis on elbows and the clinch.
Fights begin with a ritual dance and are accompanied by traditional music. In 2023 Cambodia hosted the Southeast Asian Games and used the name Kun Khmer for the event, which caused a dispute with Thailand.
